Studies in Gaming is a new academic book series published by McFarland Publishers and edited by Matthew Kapell (editor of Playing with the Past: Digital Games and the Simulation of History and The Play Versus Story Divide in Game Studies).
From table-top games to board games and video games, the playing of games is central to what it means to be human. McFarland’s new series intends to offer as many different perspectives on the field as possible. Proposals for both monographs and edited volumes are welcome.
